Pune chamber to change city into gaming hub

PUNE, MAY 11: An initiative by the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) to transform Pune into a global hub for animation and gaming has been launched. An action group of professionals, training institutes and celebrities has been formed to implement the initiative. Filmmaker Amol Palekar has been chosen as the brand ambassador for the initiative.

Syntel to step up efforts for more outsourcing in Pune

PUNE, MAY 11 : Technology services and BPO firm Syntel Ltd has received government approval for its 40-acre IT SEZ at Pune.

“The company’s 40-acre SEZ at Pune and 30 acre SEZ at Chennai have been notified by the government. The company will be constructing around 11 lakh sq ft at Pune with an investment of over $90 million in the next 3 years. This will create capacity for around 9,000 employees,” Keshav Murugesh, president and CEO, Syntel Ltd said.

“The company’s 40-acre SEZ at Pune and 30-acre SEZ at Chennai have been notified by the government,” Keshav Murugesh, president and CEO, Syntel Ltd said. “The company will construct around 11 lakh sq ft at Pune with an investment of over $ 90 million in the next three years. This will create capacity for around 9,000 employees.”

Shivajinagar tops MSRTC’s Pune revenue chart

Pune, May 11: WHEN it comes to Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation’s (MSRTC) Pune region, the Shivajinagar depot is the best bet for earning profits. With an increased revenue collection in the last fiscal, it continues to be the biggest earning depot.

According to statistics submitted to Mumbai Central headquarters by the Divisional Controller office, the Shivajinagar depot tops the revenue chart with an increased share of Rs 3.86 crore. It is followed by Swargate and Pimpri-Chinchwad depots registering an increase by Rs 1.50 crore and Rs 36 lakh, respectively.
