The Central Railway has introduced a weekly super fast special train on the Pune-Jaipur route. The train went on track from Jaipur on Tuesday and on Wednesday from Pune.

“It has been more than four decades that the citizens had been demanding a special train between Pune and Jaipur. However, there was no development so far. But during this year’s railway budget, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced to start the Pune-Jaipur train, which started on Wednesday,” said Harsha Shah, president, Railway Pravasi Group.

The Pune division of the Central Railways has changed the timings of many express, passenger and Pune-Lonavala local trains. The revised timings will be effective from Thursday.

The Solapur-Pune passenger will arrive in Daund at 4.55 pm instead of 4.35 pm and leave at 5 pm, reaching Pune at 7.05 pm instead of 6.55 pm. The Pune-Solapur passenger will leave Pune at 10.50 pm and reach Solapur at 7.20 am instead of 6.40 am.

PUNE: Four people were arrested on Tuesday by the railway protection force (RPF) and the commercial department of the Pune railway division for trying to sell railway reservation tickets at the Chinchwad railway station reservation centre.

Train 0163 Down Pune - Hyderabad superfast Shatabdi Summer Special will depart from Pune at 6 am and arrive at Solapur at 9.30 am, Gulbarga at 11.12 am, Wadi at 11.55 am, Begumpeth at 2 pm and reach Hyderabad at 2.30 pm.

Pune : Starting from April 2, the Central Railway will run a summer special train between Pune and Hazrat Nizamuddin. The train will run till June 25. This train will depart from Pune at 2.10 pm and will arrive at Hazrat Nizamuddin next day at 4.40 pm. The Hazrat Nizamuddin - Pune weekly special train will run on every Thursday starting from April 1 and the service will be on till June 24. This train will have eight second class reserved coaches, four general unreserved compartments, among others.

PUNE: The Central Railway (CR) is likely to witness marginal increase in passenger turnout for its train services on Pune-Mumbai route in the wake of fare hike being announced by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC).

* Pune-Ahmedabad special: every Thursday between April 1 and June 24; the train will depart from Pune at 3.20 pm and arrive Ahemadabad next day at 4 am. The same train will leave Ahmedabad at 2.10 pm and 4 reach Pune next day at 4.45 am. The train will have a total of 19 cases, of which 11 are second class reserved coaches
