Our ancestors i.e monkeys are our great friends. I recall i read it in Readers Digest. Scott A mechanical engineer had great passion for sports car. He used to design sports car and earn his living. He purchased two flats and had a good life. A close friend of him wanted to take him for a drive. He agreed and met up with an accident. The driver was left unhurt but he was badly injured. He was taken to hospital. After spending 12 Hrs in hospital he regained his senses. Doctors disclosed him that his whole body was paralyzed below neck. He was thunder struck. He remained in hospital for 1 week. He received notices for joining offices. He failed to join because of the bodily injury. He was fired and was left without work. He had to give away all his luxuries. He sold both his houses so that he could spend some more on his treatment. His girlfriend left him. She didnt wanted to spend her life with a person who was a burden on her. He was disheartened and left all hopes and wanted to die. His friend felt sorry for him and wanted to help him out. He surfed the Internet and found an organization which helped handicapped persons by providing monkey friends. Its special breed of monkey call Capuchin which are short heighted and weigh only upto 5 kgs. They are trained and when they pass all tests they are allowed to stay with humans. Scott was not allowed to have capuchin in his house according to British laws. A person could have only dogs as pets. He filed petition in 2001 and after getting approval from the court he brought the monkey named Jenny home. Jenny was very cute and it could open microwave oven, open bottles and even clean the dining. Scott was relived and wanted to live his life again with this new friend. Jenny used to go with him for a walk and at every place where it was needed. It really feels pity that even a monkey can feel the pain of a human which the other human cannot feel and don't want to share. This story is really motivating. You should have a desire to live and nothing is impossible. You can share your sorrows, pains and best moments even with a monkey. By Rashmi Priya
