4 Pune students make it to the NDA

PUNE: Four city-based students have been selected for the prestigious 121st Course of National Defence Academy (NDA).

According to results declared by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Saurabh Sadanand Divekar of Padmavati stands 102nd, Ganesh Ramchandra Murkewar of Kothrud ranks 50th in the Air Force Wing, Chirag Ajay Anand of Kundannagar stands 125th in Air Force Wing and 297th in the Army/Navy category, while Kalpesh Balasaheb Shinde stands 100th in the Air Force category and 352nd in the Army/Navy wing in merit list for Army/Navy in the all India examinations held for the NDA.

Director, Apex Careers, Lt Col Pradeep Brahmankar who trained the four NDA aspirants relived his experience saying, “Divekar spent two years under my guidance as he came from a Marathi background. However, due to his tireless efforts he overcame all the deficiencies of the language and is able to speak and write like any other convent educated student.”

Murkewar and Anand just spent a month in my academy to prepare and clear the tough exams.
